Our club, Scottish Galvanizers Ltd, went to the bait pool on Saturday 17th October. There was only 8 of us but we took 16 fish for over 60lb and Bill laid on a hoy lunch of stovies and a trophy for heaviest bag.
We would highly recommend this venue. we have fished 8 of Scotlands premier Troutmaster waters, but Tweedsdale stands head & shoulders above them all. All the fish were fully finned and mega fighters.

On thurs 1st october I fished here with a friend who was 74. He landed a fish of around 10lbs and was in his element. Unfortunately I locked my keys in the car boot and had to wait for recovery to arrive. My thanks goes to the fishery staff for the help and patience displayed.Another fisher took us home and i returned next day to open the car. Thje fish which we caught were still in good nick and we both had an exellent days fishing thank you.
Fished this place on Saturday 3rd. One of the best fisheries I've ever been to. Spent 4 1/2 hours before i found a fly that worked. Finally I had a limit bag of 4 for 15lb. The biggest was 5lb from the bait pool. Excellent fishery and well run. I will definetly be back!
Was up fishing on Friday 25/9/09 had a great day. There were 4 of us and all caught fish i caught a 6.5lbs rainbow wich is my biggest so far was a great looking fish will be back soon great place to fish.
WAS THEIR ON MONDAY 14th SEPT 09, THE OLD GUY IN THE CABIN ADVISED THAT THEIR HAD BEEN A PAIRS COMPETETION THE PREVIOUS DAY AND DID NOT NO HOW IT WOULD FISH. STARTED ON THE TOP POOL WAS ABOUT 1 HOUR BEFORE I FOUND THAT THEY WERE FEEDING ON FRY,AFTER THAT HAD FISH AFTER FISH SOME REAL BIG RAINBOWS AND A CRACKING BLUE. WAS FISHING A SPORT TICKET SO THEY ALL WERE RETURNED SAFELY TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY. I RECOMMEND THIS FISHERY TO ANYONE, GREAT FISH AND A BREATH TAKING VIEW FROM THE DAM OF THE FORTH VALLEY. WILL BE BACK THANKS
Thanks for the hot meal on Sunday 13.09.09 and a days fishing, never caught one but still enjoyed the day. Hope to be back soon when my luck changes thanks again.
went up to tweeddale last thursday and had a great day caught 20 fish.4 of which were 6lb + several 4lb caught on black fritz in the morning then switched to drys in the afternoon as the fish were rising all oner the place,even got a nice browney on a dry.went with my 2 mates who also had a good day one of which forfilled his goal of catching on a dry fly.GREAT place to fish credit to bill and scott the latter being very helpful on the day thanks for a brilliant day GREGG from ashington wish i lived a bit closer.

Had our club day yest on the 10th may! we had great day despite weather conditions. Rod average was about 15 each, with Alex Bowler and I having 54 between us,hooked and dropped about the same. Quality of fish and fishery is second to none. Will be back soon!! Alex is still goin on about the one that got away..
EXCELLENT FISHERY, CAUGHT MY BIGGEST TROUT 13lbs 110z I WAS ON THE CASTLE POOL AND WAS USING A BLACK/GREEN FRITZ ON A SLOW SINKING LINE. IT TOOK ME ON THE DROP AND HAD ME ALL OVER THE POOL. ANOTHER ANGLER KINDLY HELPED ME TO LAND THE FISH BY NETTING IT FOR ME. MY HEART ABOUT STOPPED. THANKS TWEEDDALE FOR ONE OF THE BEST FISHING DAYS IVE EVER HAD. WILL SEE YOU ASAP. DEREK WILSON
Was their on Friday 10th April, could not believe how many anglers this place gets. Dont no if thats a good sign or not. Saw plently good bags coming off but I only managed 2,fully finned & tailed rainbows (makes a change from what I normally catch) would go back but not at the weekend or holiday period. The lad in the ticket office was very friendly and helpful, pity it was not nearer me as ive traveled from Cumbria, the scottish lads are lucky having this kind of fishing on their door step. HAD 6 HOURS ON 10thAPRIL, WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE WATER QUALITY, FISH AND THE HELP THAT THE STAFF GAVE. TOOK A FEW PHOTO\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'S FROM THE TOP POOL OF THE SCENIC VIEW, COULD SEE FOR MILES, WHAT A SIGHT. LOOK FORWARD TO MY NEXT VISIT AND GETTING ANOTHER STAMP ON MY LOYALTY CARD. Went to have a look at the weekend with the intention of making a club booking. It was fairly busy and I noticed atleast 3 anglers weighing in the catch. Lovely fully finned fish with big spades for tails, they must have gave the anglers sum fight. Have now made a booking for 18rods for july, im looking forward to fishing here as ive heard so much about it, will give report after our outing but am sure it will be a good one. Credit to this well run fishery.
This is the best fishery in the lothians/borders. Very friendly staff and excellent fishing. I have fished all 3 ponds and caught in all them. I think the top fly pond is the best and the fish are inredible fighters. Credit to all
Great place, went their this weekend and apart from the cold I had a great day using apps bloodworm and buzzers. Had my bag limit for 17lbs 6oz and released another 11. The fish are top class and fight like demons. Will be back HIGHLY RECOMENDED
